    Hello,

I have recently switched hosts. I used the plugin backupguard to move both of my websites… https://www.drewtolbert.com and https://www.governorofalabama.com. The website https://www.governorofalabama.com moved perfectly with no hang-ups.

However, since I have moved https://www.drewtolbert.com I can login with either user (one admin and one author) and neither of us has any admin features. We can’t create posts or anything. We are logged in, but only as users (as if we were logging in to comment).

I have compared the php of both sites and cannot delineate the differences. I have also disabled all plugins and it still did the same thing.

There are no errors showing due to us being able to actually log-in. It isn’t the correct type of access.

I have viewed several topics and can’t find anything that seems to work.

    Thanks for any help provided.

I should also point out that it does go back to my site in chrome as a user… however when I login in internet explorer it says

“Sorry, you do not have access to this page”

    Hi there!

I am very sorry that you are experiencing this issue. I dug into a bit and I found This Post that should restore you admin privileges.

I hope that this helps you ??

Please, let me know how it works out for you.

Tried that, and it didn’t work.

Thanks for giving it the old college try though.

BOOM!!!! Figured it out… all of my wp_ stuff in php was named wp_bynd. so I removed the bynd_ and fixed it.

The trick was looking in users AND options. Because the list in options was so long I didn’t see the wp_users_roles in there.

I did see in other forums where people posted this trick and attempted it. I recommend searching for the string after the wp_ in my case it was bynd, I saw other people say theirs was wp_users and wp_7XXXXXX…

It was 6 entries total 5 under meta and 1 under options.

    Thats Great!

I am very happy you figured it out!
