• I had used the plugin to import subcribers and had selected, that noch changing in the user role should be.

    But the import had overwritten on of my authors.

    Only the user-name was the same, all other field had different values.

    This should not be. It would be better, to compare more field, like name and than make a question, if a record overwrite the values from an existing record.

    @zenreiki,

    User reference is the username, that is a primary key in WordPress.

    So I use this as the reference… it would not be functional if you are updating 1000 users, and the plugin ask in every case.

    the system can not ask, but it wouhld be better, to show all problems to the user before overwriting the records.
    And much better would be, to show a list to the user with checkbox, so that he can deside, if the want to overwrite or skip.

    And another idea is, to give a file back to the users, which contain all records with problems. So he can solve an try again.

    As you can read in documentation tab, this is a plugin to import (insert and update) so it has no sense if we are talking about the main use of this plugin: update users, overwrite all his data.

    We can do some kind of improvement as you mentioned, but yes, you should support this develop.

    Tell me if you are interested writing me to carazo AT codection DOT com.

    Thanks.
