I’m getting these errors in the admin and my client’s forms are not working at all. They worked fine last week:

Warning: include(xxx): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/xxx/admin.php on line 1112

Warning: include(): Failed opening ‘xxx’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:xxx’) in xxx on line 1112

I saw one other poster post about this and you said to revert to an earlier version or upgrade to the most recent, but when I try to upgrade it says that the directory already exists.

I REALLY don’t want to loose the forms we created. They were VERY complex and the client paid us a lot of money to set them up for him. Is there a way to fix this that doesn’t require we erase all that we have already done?

@jem3299 Thanks for using Caldera Forms. I’m sorry you’re having this issue. I’m assuming you’re refering to this line https://github.com/CalderaWP/Caldera-Forms/blob/master/classes/admin.php#L1112

That file should exist. Which version of Caldera Forms are you on, and have you tried installing or reinstalling the latest version?

Also, please keep in mind we check this forum once or twice a week, for priority support with 24 hour or less turn-around, please make a purchase and open a ticket at https://calderaforms.com/support

Were using 1.5.0.6. I tried to update it but it said the directory already exists, which, of course, it should, but it won’t let me update beyond that. If I do it via ftp and just orverried the files, I am worried about loosing the forms we created. Will that all be overwritten if I do? Or is it safe?

That’s really all I wanted to know. Like I said we worked on these forms for quite some time and loosing them would be horrible. Unfortunatley my client has not been making backups so we can’t revert or anything so I’m just making sure it’s safe to update the normal way or if there is another way I need to do it.

I don’t think the client minds paying for support, but there are no products we’re interested in buying. Is there an option to just purchase priority support available?

It sounds like your installation of Caldera Forms was messed up. I’m not sure why, but it is. You should be able to delete the plugin and re-install it. That should fix it. If not, this is likely a problem with your server.

The plugin file doesn’t not contain any forms or entry data. That is all stored in your database. So when you disable the plugin none of your data will be lost.

After updating the plugin I believe I’m having a similar problem. If I delete and re-install the plugin could I lose the forms I have already created?
