What is the exact text of the error(s) you see?

I get the following error after installing wordpress using the auto installer from my webhost

Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.

I contacted the hosting service as well and have not heard a thing out of them . That what you get for free webhosting

ps. the auto installer is called Softaculous

This is a hosting problem. You need to contact them. PHP is not set up correctly.
