Feature Ideas & Feedback
-
Zack, Paul,
I have a few ideas that I think fit with your vision of keeping WPComplete simple but quite powerful. Some new ideas here, plus the others I already mentioned just to roll them into one message.
1) Conditional shortcodes: show/hide sections of content depending if a course is complete. Something like:
[wpc_if_complete course=”Course Name”]
Content I want to show if they are complete.
[else]
Content to show if they are not complete.
[/wpc_if_complete]2) Single page courses: Now that multiple buttons on a single page are possible, it would be awesome if we could have the parts of the course hidden until they click the complete button to open up the next step.
This functionality would be very helpful for mini “checklist” type of pages as well.
An interesting thing to keep in mind if you decide to build this would be to have sections open on page load based on a hashtag in the URL.
3) Zapier integration: I know integrating all types of services is challenging, but if you had a Zapier integration, we could use it to connect with everything we need.
Most notably I want to add users to mailing lists once they complete courses so I can do follow up and add additional value for them… but I can imagine some other ways to use a Zapier integration too.
I’ll add more to this thread as I dream up ways for this plugin to become so much better, without breaking the principle that makes it so appealing: simplicity.
Thanks!
