Primary Category not working

    Hi!

    I am selecting one of my categories to be the primary category, however, it does not care about that and chooses the categories alphabetically in the breadcrumbs.

    Please help, this is really frustrating.

    The Yoast breadcrumbs should pick the primary category. Can you provide a link where your issue is happening? Please include the breadcrumb structure you’d like to see and which categories you have (including your primary).

    I have breadcrumbs intergrated in the theme, does the main category only shows up if I have selected the Yoast breadcrumb option?

    Which breadcrumbs would you like to show?

    If you are using the theme integrated breadcrumbs, our plugin isn’t doing anything related to the breadcrumbs. Your theme is responsible. In that case, you’ll need to ask support with the theme developer.

    If you use the Yoast breadcrumbs, you’ll have to enable them in the SEO -> Advanced -> Breadcrumbs menu (and disable your theme breadcrumbs) and add some code to your theme to actually make the breadcrumbs appear in your theme. If you don’t know how to add the code (you can read our knowledge base article what code should be added) you can ask your (theme) developer.
