I recently updated the Avada theme, and now Jetpack breaks my admin. With Jetpack activated I can’t edit or even see any backend pages, but as soon as I deactivate it I can do this.

Has anyone else had this problem?

    Thank you

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

We’re not aware of any conflicts right now, but Jetpack did conflict with the Avada theme once, about 2 years ago, in version 3.4. We fixed the problem in version 3.5 that was released on April 24, 2015.

Could you try to log in to your site via FTP or CPanel, delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder, and then go to Plugins > Add New in your dashboard to install the most recent version of the Jetpack plugin on your site.

You’ll find the Jetpack plugin folder here:

    wp-content
       plugins
         jetpack - DELETE THIS FOLDER

If you’re not sure how to do this, you can ask your hosting company for help. They should also have documentation explaining how to edit or remove files from your site using FTP or a File Manager in your admin panel.

Let me know how it goes.

Which modules did you have enabled in Jetpack on that site?

Also which other plugins where active on the site?

I’m running Avaada and Jetpack on a couple of sites and don’t seem to have this issue.
Jetpack ver: 4.7.1 using default free settings.
Avada ver: 5.1.2 with all patches applied and plugins current Fusion Core 3.1.2, Fusion Builder 1.1.2

    Hello

Thank you for your replies about this. I tried deleting and reinstalling Jetpack but the problem persisted. I recently migrated the site to a new host, so something might have happened there.

Anyway – I decided to change themes away from Avada, and everything is now back to normal. I’m happier with the new theme so I’m just working with that instead.

It seems like an extreme solution, but I’m happy with it.

Thanks again for all your help.
