i’m using the tarski theme. i want to create a static page to use as my home page but also have my blog page with the feed and all that.

i see in settings>reading where i can choose to go to the static page as my home page, but when i do that, the blog page disappears. my original blog page doesn’t show up in my manage>pages screen.

does anybody know what the deal is there?

  • To create your site so that you have a static PAGE as your homepage then create that page first. Also create a blank PAGE called blog.

Then in settings > Reading you can tell WordPress that you want to use the ‘home’ page as your home page and the ‘blog’ page as your posts page.

Now when you go to your site you should see that the ‘home’ page is the first page you see and that when you click on your ‘blog’ page you will see your posts.
