Roles allowed to copy not working for “Author”

if the role is shown here it should be able to be allowed to copy posts…

Are you using the last version (3.1.2) of Duplicate Post?
Are you using any plugin which may interfere with roles and capabilities?

HI @lopo , Yes I am using that version and not sure on if any plugin affecting roles etc. Only one is possibly the theme I use, as thats what the “edit with page builder option is” underneath the post (see attached) which is where the “clone” sits isn’t it.

really would like to get this sorted so author role can clone, to keep consistency of types of post etc and easier as the author access is going to be provided to other users.

I’m sorry for the delay, I was out of town for some days…

If I understand well, you check the box near “Author”, save the settings, and it’s empty when the page has reloaded?
Does it happen only with Authors? What about the Editors and Contributors checkboxes?

If needed, can you access the database and tell me what’s the value for some fields in the wp_options table?

Sorry apologies for the delay, just getting back on this one as still un-resolved.

I have checked Editors and Contributors checkboxes on the permissions tab as you instructed, and yes can confirm it does the same for these on saving the settings, it reset’s the check boxes to what they were previously.

For accessing the wp_options table, I’m not sure how to go about this?
