• When trying to create a custom template I get the following message

ERROR – doesn’t exist or is not writable. Please set up Read-Write permissions for /wordpress/wp-content/uploads/amazon-associates-link-builder/template/

my wordpress installation is in /home/{sitename}/public_html. My wp-content file is in that directory not /wordpress. I don’t know where the plugin is really trying to upload my custom template.

Anyone have any clues. Is the plugin really hardcoded to a specific path?

  • It’s only the error message that is hardcoded.

But I have the same problem – looks as if there is a bug with the variable $aalb_template_upload_dir which isn’t defined.

I got to that point too and was wondering if I was missing something. This problem makes it so I can’t put Adwords conversion snippets in my links.

I had post this a few days ago, with the similar problem.
Once a custom template saved, and closed the page, you can’t find this template any more. If you create a new template with the same name, it will say the template has existed, please use another name. But you can’t load the previous template you have created. Means you can’t edit the previous custom template once you closed the page you just created the template. It do existed and works but can’t load and edit it. If want edit and change something, you need just load the name and deleted, then create it with the same name again.
For editing in the future, you need always backup your custom template in somewhere with notepad. This make users very trouble.
Allowed user create custom template, should allowed load it and edit. hope better in the new version.

    Same problem, template variable is empty, I commented lines 183, 184, 186, 187 in aalb_helper.php because…

    error.log size: 45GB and more…

    Plugin Version 1.4.6

I have the same problem, after cloning a template I’m redirected to the homepage, but nothing is saved.
How can I solve this problem? I need to create new templates, but in this moment I don’t find any final solution or workaround.
I’m using the last version 1.4.7.

    Thanks
    Daniele
