    Hi @alamancewm,

Sorry that you ran into issues here!

Have you tried a conflict test yet to rule out that possibility? Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with Business Directory, which may help pinpoint the issue: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-check-for-plugin-and-theme-conflicts-with-bd/

Also, are you running any ad blocker plugins or add-ins on Firefox that are not present on Chrome? I tested our demo and see similar results of FF/Chrome so it could be something unique to your browser.

Try that and report back on what you find.

It appears that I ended up with a conflict on 3 different plugins: Meta-Slider, WP User Avatar, and Weather Underground. Considering that these are reasonably popular plugins, you may want to work on compatibility.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi @alamancewm,

Can you tell me how you confirmed that? Did you start with BD and a default theme enabled and then added only one of those at a time?

Just want to make sure it wasn’t something cumulative.

We will certainly investigate, but it’s important that we replicate how you did it exactly to make sure.

    Please let me know.

I tested on multiple themes to no avail.

I then disabled all plugins, and it worked. So I enabled them in blocks of 5-6 plugins (we have about 35) until the addition of a block of plugins caused a failure. I then disabled those and re-enabled them one at a time until the problem plugin was IDed. I then moved on until it recurred.

    Hi @alamancewm,

Just to follow up here–we did some local testing, FYI–we didn’t find any conflict with the plugins on our side:

I just installed the three plugins locally and they don’t cause any problem in Chrome, Firefox or Safari.

Normally, a blank screen related to the type of browser being used is an odd scenario. Most of the times, blank screens are caused by memory issues or fatal errors that occur in the server. Since we don’t check the browser user agent to alter the plugin’s behavior, it’s not a normal thing to cause back-end errors like that. It seems that something environmental might be coming into play here…

Do you have shared hosting by chance? That may explain things if there’s a lack of resources and several plugins trying to vie for them.

Again, we’re happy to dig deeper. Contact us here and we can discuss this further offline: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/contact/

I would tend to agree, except that we have seen it on multiple computers on multiple OSes.

Shared hosting would still be a common thread in that case.

Is that what you’re using here?

Blank screens in my experience are most commonly seen in that case where your server simply runs out of resources to render something.

Did you try checking your server logs?
