Pre sales question – adding link to packing list

    Hi there,

    I am looking for a plugin to create just packing lists (invoices we do not need as have an accountancy package for that) and hopefully your plugin will be suitable!

    When the administrator receives a new order email, is it possible to include a link to the PDF packing list in that admin email? If not, is there any way we can directly print the packing list from the admin notification email, rather than logging into the WooCommerce backend?

    Is this plugin relatively light weight, ie not going to adversely affect site performance?

    Hi!
    For security reasons, links to create an invoice expire automatically. Therefor it’s not possible (without any custom coding) to include a link to the packing slip (or invoice) in an email. With the professional extension you can attach the PDF packing slip to any WooCommerce email, but that does require some resources. It won’t make your site much slower overall, just the time after clicking the ‘Place order’ button in the checkout will be a bit longer if you attach the PDF to the admin email. Usually not much, but if you’re already tight on resources this is something you may want to watch (you can check the Status tab of the PDF invoice settings for more information on required vs. available resources on your site)/

    What would the alternative be, if we want to quickly print a packing list (an alternative to having the packing list attached to the order email and potentially using up system resources)?

    What’s important is that we can quickly print the packign list when an order comes in, so maybe you can explain what is another possible option for us?

    Hi! An alternative solution is to use the WooCommerce Automatic Order Printing plugin from Simba Hosting. That plugin is fully compatible with this PDF Invoices & Packing Slips plugin and lets you automatically print the packing slips via google cloud print.
