  • I get the exact same error. It just returns to the “connect to Jetpack” button. The xmlrpc shows the correct line.

    Yep. Happening here too.

    Same issue for me too

EDIT: Actually works after posting lol

Still not working for me. The cynic in me would suggest that it fails as soon as you choose the “Select Free” option rather than one of the paid ones…

Same thing happens to me! And yes @captainblue I was wondering the same thing! Very frustrating!

Check in the dashboard on Jetpack’s website to see if your site has already been added.

Recently I tried to verify a domain however it failed during the process leading me to the same situation as described.

If it is in the dashboard, remove it and try to re-connect.

Even worse! I got this after removing it and then trying to do it again:

Invalid request, please go back and try again.
    Error Code: invalid_client
    Error Message: Unknown client_id.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

If clearing your cache doesn’t help, could you all use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

    1. Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2. Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3. Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4. Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5. Click the “Contact Support” button to send us the debug results privately. It’s best not to post this information on public forums, as it contains private details about your site.

    Thanks!

The same problem as everyone above and persisting for the past 3 days. I cleared cache and made sure that my Website is listed on WordPress, it is. Now what?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

@iret1 Could you follow the instructions I posted above to send us more information about your site?

    Thanks!

OK, removed it from the Jetpack site.

    De-activated Jetpack then activated it.

Connected again and this time it finally connected.
