I have just installed MailChimp Forms by OptIn Cat on my site (trialling it). However, I think something has gone wrong. I can add forms by going through the Installed Plugins main interface of the WordPress engine, however, I can’t seem to get access to previously constructed forms to review or edit them.

I’ve check the internet and I believe I’m meant to have an “OptIn Cat” item on my menu sidebar of my editor, but I can’t seem to find it.

Please help. I’d like to see what else this plugin can do, but it’s a bit hard when I can’t gain access to the features.

    Hello There,

Thanks for letting us know, I think I suspect the cause of the issue. If the plugin is working, but not appearing on your sidebar, you may have found another plugin that has the same menu position as us. Here are some instructions too, and it will still be worth checking your theme, if you don’t find anything among your plugins.

To search for conflicts, please follow these steps.

    1. First please deactivate all plugins except [Plugin] and see if the issue persists.
    2. If the issue is resolved, reactivate your plugins one by one to see if the issue returns.
    3. If no conflict is found among your plugins, try reverting to a default WP theme like ‘Twenty Sixteen’, or ‘Twenty Seventeen’, and see if the issue is resolved.

If you find a conflict with a plugin or theme, please let us know what it was, and we’ll see if we can’t get this fixed quickly for you. It’s a simple issue if my suspicion is right.

I will need to run the tests on a different site… It might take some time. I’m unable to deactivate plugins on my main site as the whole site would go down as a consequence.

In looking at a different site (a test site and not my main company site) I have isolated that “Form Maker” by WebDorado is the plugin that is hogging the spotlight on the sidebar. Saying that, I can not deactivate this particular plugin on my main site, not easily, as it’s my contact forms for customer enquiries and is integrated throughout the entire site.

    Hello Judy,

Sorry, I haven’t been able to keep up with the forums lately. I’ll just mark this one resolved though, since we are now working in our premium support channel.

To anyone else having this issue:

The plugin listed above simply uses the same menu ID position as us, hiding us from your dashboard. We will change our position in the next update, in the meantime you can use the plugin by knowing how to navigate to specific URL’s.

Please open a new thread if you need further assistance with this.
