Title for edit post link just says “Edit”

    Hi, I’m using the_title() to display the page title after I click “Edit” under a post on my website and the title that shows is just “Edit”. There’s an actual post title, but it doesn’t seem to be displaying.

    Is there a way to show the page title when editing a post on the website (not the dashboard)?

    Front end editing is not supported by default, it is a theme or plugin feature. You should inquire through the support channel of the responsible code.

    This is a twentyfifteen child theme. What is the correct support channel?

    Twentyfifteen does not support front end editing either. Its edit links take you to the back end edit screen where the title is always part of the screen.
