Using the Cyclone Slider

I have installed the Cyclone Slider on my homepage which I really love but when I click on the menu bar above the options go behind the slider making it hard to see. After a few seconds it corrects itself but it is not ideal. I don’t really want to have the slider too low down because then it will be too much below the fold. Anyone know how to fix this.
