My client’s site was having issues every other week and was outdated…So, I backed up all the files and updated to 4.7. As soon as I clicked the update button the site went to the following page http 500 internal service error when I checked the error log. It said it could not finish the request. I did a localhost test to see if I would run into any errors uploading the site back. There were no errors from plug-ins, themes, etc except for the database wanting to be re-directed. I was able to load wordpress 4.7.2 and the site’s 4.6.3 install without any problems. I can’t upload through ftp due to webhost issues. My client wants to get a second opinion asap. This has been going on for a week. Her old site was configured back some kind of way and now shes waiting for the updated site error to restore itself. I cant get into the wp log-in either after updating or shall i say attempting to update. The http 500 error says website isnt working. Unable to handle this request. I am seeing that there has been alot of 4.7 update issues unfortunately!
