    Hello
I noticed a very annoying behavior when rewind is used with self-hosted mp4 video files. For example, Youtube will play from anywhere with rewind function, but FV player can’t start to play right from the middle, for example. One have to wait to until entire file is loaded. It is crucial with low speed internet connections.
    It is fixable ?

  • Hello UnLambda

The buffering speed of the self-hosted videos mainly depends from the speed of the server you are using for hosting. Not all servers are good for hosting videos, therefore the delay. This demo contains self-hosted videos and jumping on the time line can be done almost instantly. I would recommend you switch to other hosting solution.

I have a slow internet connection speed. And I can’t rewind on your demo. With my slow speed I have to wait a lot. On youtube, if choose a low res (for ex. 180p) I can rewind without waiting until entire file is loaded.

    Hello UnLambda

You are apparently using a browser that doesn’t support MP4 in HTML5 and it uses Flash instead, which doesn’t allow random seeking.

When using YouTube in FV Player Pro it not only looks like FV Player but the random seeking of YouTube keeps working even on browsers without MP4 support in HTML5.

    Hello
You are right. In my browser (Chromium 41) on YouTube I have HTML5 player loaded, but on you demo I have flash player loaded instead. Pardon for false report.
