Anyone used Drupal AFTER WordPress?
-
I’m a developer and frankly I’ve always considered WordPress the website builder for non-technical people. Not that it’s a bad thing, but it ends up created a somewhat bloated website with a patchwork of plug-ins that all need to be constantly updated.
I’d built websites on WordPress before for people that wanted something simple, easy, quick, flexible, decent looking, and cheap. Frankly I admit, nothing can do all that better than WordPress in my opinion.
It seems like at this point now, what would have required custom PHP coding in the past, now there is a decent plug-in for. So why recreate the wheel?
I’m wondering if anyone with a development background has attempted to build some sites using Drupal, AFTER using WordPress, can comment on how steep the learning curve was and if they ended up thinking learning Drupal was worthwhile, or if for 95% of future websites they would just go back to using WordPress?
One thing I like about WordPress is the ability to use Divi or X-Theme for rapid, custom site development. Does Drupal have equally powerful and user-friendly options?
