• Hi,

I’m working on a blog in the latest version of wordpress, and for some reason the site looks fine on Windows browsers Firefox and Internet Explorer, but when I test it on a Mac with Safari or Firefox, the header color stands out a lot more, where you can tell exactly where the header is, but with Windows the header looks seamless with the rest of the design.

Any ideas? I know I havent attached a link, unfortunately the company I’m doing the site for is really strict and doesnt want me to display anything about it. I can try putting up some code tho if that helps.

Your help would be GREATLY appreciated! I’m stuck.

    Jen

  • The first thing to try is looking at the color space that the ‘new’ graphic is in. browsers are not color aware so all graphics should be saved as sRGB. This should minimize color shift and improve consistency. MAC machines seem to be more color aware and use a bit different set of settings (gamma off the top of my head) than windows so images are read differently and displayed different as well.

I hope this helps, it did for me a while ago.
