Post-Date – class “.entry-date.updated”

In case a developer is listening here:
I think the post date (part of the meta data) has the wrong class assigned: it’s marked as “.entry-date.updated” which is the same how the update-date (date when a post has been updated) is marked.
In my viewpoint the initial post date should have a class of “.entry-date” only. That way it would be easy to apply different css to the initial and the update date of a post. With the current setup one can’t distinguish between the dates (css-wise); a workaround is to filter the responsible function but that’s not an optiomal solution obviously.
Would be great if that could be fixed (or let us know why it has been implemented the way it was). Many thanks!
