The problem is only for WooCommerce items or also in core items? It give different plugins that change the slug of the menu items if the user logged in with a different role. Adminimize read all data always and only, if the admin is logged in – maybe the problem. Then is it important, that you add the menu slug via custom options. You can get this slug if a menu items with the debug option in Adminimize. Active this option, logged in with the other role and read inside the console (F12) of the browser the slugs to each menu item.

Core Items under menu options are working (hide/unhide). Woocommerce, Themify are not working. I suppose I am not using any plugin which modifies the slugs. I tried in two different websites.
Do you have a write up on how to add custom menu slugs (i tried F12 browser console but could not understand to do it)?

You should create a custom menu item. You see the items, if you active the debug option of the plugin and show inside the console. A how to to doing this for the Visual Composer plugin find you there -https://github.com/bueltge/Adminimize/wiki
