Is it possible to change the password of the database from your WordPress installation? I know I can use wp-config.php to change the password (as it is there in plain text), but how do I tell my database to use that password from now on?

  • To change the password of the user that is connected with that database you need to access your control panel. Select databases and in there you will have list of databases and users, look for change password.

Wow… I sure was overthinking on this one ??
    Thanks

No, you didn’t. You still need to change the wp-config.php to update it with the new database user’s password.

Actually, the wp-config was the easy thing. I just didn’t have a clue how to change it serverside ??

    Thanks again

What company is hosting your website ? Did you manage to change it on the server ?
