    Hi,

I just tried to update the MailPoet plugin. Unfortunately, there was an error during update which resulted in the whole plugin being deactivated and thrown out.

I would like to reinstall the plugin to keep on using it. Before doing this: Is there somewhere an explanation how to reinstall the plugin without losing all the data? Where is the data stored?

Thanks for your answer and best regards,

    Jens

The data is all stored in the database, you can safely remove the plugin files from the wysija-newsletters folder from your wp-content/plugins/.

    Ok, great.

And if I re-install the plugin, there is no risk that the database is overwritten?

It would be great to get some explanation which steps to take to re-install the plugin while keeping the data of the old installation.

This might help other users with the same problem. Thank you very much in advance!

Just deactivate and delete your current MailPoet install from the Plugins menu of your WordPress. As soon as you install it again, all your data will be there.
