I’m a Pods Lover for Life

Currently we are using Pods along with gravity forms, the gravity forms pods add-on, wp facets as well as ithemes exchange and a bunch of their products for our membership site that boasts a “virtual exhibit hall”. We consider ourselves content aggregators and are allowing members, of a specific level, the ability to claim listings in the virtual exhibit hall as well as posts articles, events, and more. We would not have been able to do this without Pods. We’ve created custom post types, used pods templates to have each display a specific way and with Facets, have create landing pages where the various types of pods can be filtered and searched through so that members can find exactly what they’re looking for. I’m a novice when it comes to developing sites, and self taught. After our main developer left due to a family emergency, much of the project fell on me. Pods was easy to use and figure out and there was lots of documentation to help guide me. I would absolutely recommend Pods. It has allowed us to customize as well as create a sense of consistency across the site even as 10, 20, 30 and more people are contributing content.

Customer Service

Additionally, their customer service, via slack, is great. I’ve never had anything but delightful conversations and the team always seems to be more than willing to help me figure out my issue as well as continue to grow and enhance my site. I think Jim True never sleeps because he always seems to be on and available to answer my questions!

Personal Note
I was reluctant at first to use pods. Not really sure why, other than it was something new that I wasn’t used to. Well, I’m so glad my main developer pushed me in this direction, because I can’t stop preaching how wonderful pods is. And every time I think I’ve used up all their magic, I learn something new and I’m able to continue to enhance and develop our site.
