Intermittent permissions errors

    Hi,

    I’ve had a bit of an ongoing issue for a couple of weeks with the Dashboard telling me that it can’t write to wp-content for things such as Wordfence logs. I’ve raised this with my host as I never see any incorrect permissions errors when viewing the filesystem. My host hasn’t been very helpful unfortunately and I’m still trying to work out why this happens.

    This happened today when I logged in, so whilst my browser was open I started another incognito session and my dashboard was perfectly fine – no permissions errors and everything worked correctly (same admin user).

    I believe it’s down to the cookies, as I deleted these in the main session, logged in again and no permissions errors. Any idea what would cause this?

    This is the issue between you and your server/browser … and seems have nothing to do with the WordPress core ??

    Hi @t-p,

    I agree it’s not a WordPress core issue, I’m keen to understand what may trigger it and whether it’s anything to do with WordPress specifically though?
