Google not indexing my site

  • I have a Woo site that I have taken several content snippets from, put the snippet in quotes and pasted into Google. Unfortunately, Google is not showing my site. The site has been online now for several months. Any help would be appreciated.
    My site: UniqueItems.xyz

    PS…I thought it might be because of the .xyz domain, but I am finding plenty of .xyz Woo sites that ARE listed in Google.

  • Have you got a sitemap? There are various ways of making one. I use the Yoast SEO plugin. Navigate to Dashboard > SEO > XML Sitemap, and click “You can find your XML sitemap here”. Capture the url.

    Note this is not an actual file like some sitemap systems, its a url that dynamically indexes the site. This is good because its always bang up-to-date.

    Go to Google Webmasters. Sign up for a free account if you haven’t got one. Setup your site, then enter the sitemap url which you captured above. Expect your site to be indexed in maybe 24 hours. Google will come back to your site every now and then to reindex it, so no further action should be needed.
