• I already had an “events” category. It was the default setting for all new pages/posts (Settings->Writing->Default Post Category).

I installed the Event Calendar plug-in. Now pages that were created before with this category show up in the calendar, and I don’t want them too.

Worse, there is no way that I can find to change the category of a page (post, yes, but not a page). So, some of my pages, which have nothing to do with events have that as their category, and show up in the event calendar.

A secondary issue: password protected pages also show up in the event calendar (and then link to a page not available).

  • So, make a “Calendar” category and set the CALENDAR category as the EC3 category instead of “events” on the EC3 options page and bingo, all fixed.

Regarding password protected pages showing up, again, if we get PAGES to not show up, then you’re all set.
