Tonight I started to experience a very strange problem.

From what you can see from my blog last post:
    https://www.silicongadget.com/games/mmorpg/world-of-warcraft/world-of-warcraft-patch-302-will-lead-to-wrath-of-the-lich-king/
the main part of the article is composed by a list of items; the strange things is that the list do not show up the classic bullets.

I checked some other old articles with lists and I noticed that they are missing the bullets too.

Just to make the problem more strange, while I read the article from the editor (in “Visual” mode) I can see the bullets (but again, I do not see them from the “View this Post” preview).

Since I haven’t wrote articles with lists for few days, I don’t really know if the problem started tonight or earlier (I had other problems in the last few weeks, so this problem may have been triggered earlier than tonight).

Actually this problem presented after another problem: while I was writing the post I tried to include an image from another site and initally it showed up correctly, but when I later saved the post … the post has been marked as saved, but without any text … it was totally empty, absolutely no text neither in “Visual” mode nor in “HTML” mode; I recovered a part of the post from a revisions and I rewrote the part of text that has not been saved and without including the images this time, the post was saving correctly.

From a quick view all the

      and

      • seem correct; beside, as I mentioned the problem is appearing up even for articles that were showing the list correctly in the past, so it should not be an HTML problem (at least not so directly).

        Any idea?

        Thank in advance.

    • When you are in the visual editor, you are seeing an approximation of the published version, it does not follow everything in your the theme’s stylesheet.

I would say this is almost certainly something in your stylesheet. Somewhere in one of your theme’s CSS files, it is styling those lists without bullets.

I apologize if I did not followed up.

I solved the problem as you suggested: I commented the part of the theme’s stylesheet that referred to the list.

I still don’t know why the problem started to appear few days ago, but this is not a major problem.

      Thank you very much.
