How to access code version of main blog page
-
I’m new to wordpress and blogging style websites. I’ve done html editing in the past, always working with ftp.
My site has been hacked and a large amount of code was placed in the html of the main page. I’ve ftped into the site in hopes of pulling that file down locally and editing that code out, then reuploading, but I can’t find that file anywhere in wordpress’ file structure.
I’m used to the main page sitting in the root directory and being named “index.html”. Where is the main page? I’ve got the root directory, wp-admin, wp-content, and wp-includes. The only index I find is index.php and that isn’t it.
When I right click on the browser and click “view source,” that’s what I’m trying to get to, that code.
Thank you!
