slb_activate function

    It’s may be just for me, or it’s really absolutely unclear from the FAQ and example what slb_activate function exactly does.

    Looks like it enables lightbox for images with links passed as a function parameter?
    Or it will add links automatically to all img tags found in passed parameter to enable lightbox on them?
    Or it enables a lightbox for any link found in passed parameter if they are targeting an attachment? Or maybe link target doesn’t matter?
    Can it use a hidden html as lightbox content or it’s limited only to images?

    Thanks for help. Although the GitHub page contains a little bit more information about links, it says nothing about supported link targets.

    For example:
    $content (string) Content containing links to be activated

    I think the true meaning of the word “activated” in this case is known only to you ??
    As far as I can guess this function works exactly as plugin itself and nothing more.

    That’s it exactly! As noted in the documentation page linked to above, “SLB automatically activates links in recognized content areas”, so slb_activate() is used to activate links in other blocks of content exactly like post/page content and widget areas are.

    The target attribute is not specifically mentioned on that page because it is not necessary for SLB’s functionality.
