    Hi,

I am using Kadence Theme Virtue, free. And Site origin on selected pages only. (I will later upgrade to Virtue premium).

Anyway, I am having problems with Password Protection on one page in particular. No Site origin template. Just kadence and WordPress default Password protecttion. No plugin for password.

Sometimes the password protection works, but often it stops working. Sometimes it helps to shift Kadence Template from “Fullwidth” to Feature”. But that doesnt seem to work as a work around either.

    I am lost.

My problem is, before I upgrade to A Kadence Virtue Premium, I need this thing with password protecton a page, to work. I basically have two clients who need to be able to log in to the page.

Hopefully anyone at Kadence will find this post.

    Any tips?

    Thanks!
    Stefan

Hello there Kadence Theme staff or their theme users, and all others with the same problem,

For anynone interested, here is a solution that came 3 hours after i wrote my first Topic/question on here ??

    Hope this helps others.

    – Login to your wordpress Admin page
    – Go to Appearance / Themes
    – If you like I had, several themes installed, but obviously only using one of them, then uninstall all except the one you are using.

    – I had aprox. 5-6 previously used free WordPress themes from the WordPress Team, and two themes from Kadence Themes.

    – I Uninstalled all but 2 Free Wordrpess Team Themes.
    – I uninstalled Kadence theme Pinnacle.

Result is that I now only have the free Virtue Theme from Kadence, and two Free themes from the WordPress Team. Just in case there would ever be any issue with Kadence theme, and I temporarily have to switch.

So, the Result is that it all works now, to login to my specific Page, using the Default Password Feature given to us from the WordPress Team.

This hopefully means I will be able to go on a shpooing spree, and buy the Premium Kadence Virtue Theme.

    Yay!

Oboy, no, there is no solution to this. Problem cane back.

After I wrote the issue was resolved, see above, all the columns I had placed in the page with password protection, had to be redone. Place them again. So I did.

    – When protection password for my page wasnt working anymore, the columns I used, had gone. I ue the simple column feature we get with JetPack.

    – I made three columns, one row with three cells. ANd repeated it individually three rows.

    – When I did that, my Password doesnt worjk anymore

I made an entire new page. That solved it.

Sorry for the delay in response. I’m glad you were able to sort this out by creating a new page.

Do let us know if you run into any issues down the road.

I’m having a problem with my generic WordPress password protected pages as follows: Sometimes the password sign-in window displays and entering the password fails. The signon window just reappears. I have only one theme installed and it’s the Kadence Virtue free theme.

So far, my workaround is to login as an Administrator on the site, toggle the problem page from Public, back to Password Protected, then Update. Clearing my personal browser cache does not resolve the problem.

Any ideas as to what may be causing the problem?
