Problem with sub-menus/categories

  • Hi. Im at angelajanehoward.com. If I hover on the POETRY menu, and then click on Poetry Iceland subheading (rather than going to the right to pick each separate poem in the Iceland drop down) it takes me to ‘Nothing Found.’ I’d like it to take me to a list of all poems on Iceland. I have the same problem for the Alaska poems. However, it works OK for the ‘Other Poems’ heading…not for the ‘other poems’ subheading.

    When I do a search, in the search box, for ‘poems Iceland’ why does it take me to my ‘about’ page?

    How can I fix this?

    Hi there,

    “Poetry Iceland” submenu is linked to the wrong URL that’s why it takes you to “Nothing found”
    your posts under that menu seem to have categories
    iceland
    poetry

    there is no such category marked for those posts as “Poems Iceland” as the URL would suggest: https://angelajanehoward.com/en/category/poems-iceland/

    try to create a new category called “Poems Iceland” and mark the posts with that. That should fix the issue

    the search returns your About page simply because the text on that page contains both poems and iceland words

    Thanks, yes it did help. In fact I’ve just re-jigged my categories and scrapped some sub ones, getting too heavy. And thanks for exp,anation re the About: logical!
