• Unable to create directory /wp-content/uploads/2008/10. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    This is so annoying…

I have been reading other help files for this, and I’ve done what they say.. changed to 777 permission, changed in the .htaccess file adding that piece of code, changing the uploads so they dont end up sorted into year/month, but nothing helps!

I can’t figure this out… and it’s really bothering me. I would appreciate any help.

    Thanks

Actually, I just managed to solve it, with changing on misc, and the settings where the photos were to be put, from “/wp-contet/uploads” to “wp-content/uploads”.

This is great.. but I got a new question:

How did it change? I am 100% sure I didn’t touch that from the last working photo until uploading photos stopped working. So is there anything I should try to look out for?

How did you get it to work?

Mine keeps telling me the same thing when I try to import a .xml file to bring in my old WordPress posts
