Stop post author getting new comment notifications for his own posts

    I have a CPT with comments enabled, I want the post author to receive a notification when someone comments on the post but when the post author comments back, I dont want them to receive the notification of their own comment. I’ve tried to configure this but the post author gets notified of his own posts which is not how I hoped.

    Any ideas on how to set this up ?

    Thanks for your message.

    Not sure if this is what you’re asking for but this is from the last changelog:

    New: You can now prevent yourself from receiving notifications of comments or replies to comments on one of your posts by combining the two checkboxes ‘Send this notification to the Author only’ and ‘Do not send this Notification to the User that triggered it’.

    If i tick

    Send this notification to the Author only

    It hides the Do not send this Notification to the User that triggered it tick box row

    so i cant ever tick both to on

    Hi @waynep16,
    Are you using the latest version of BNFW? A change was made recently which means you should be able to tick both.
