Cannot automatically Remove threats

    My website https://www.neighbourhoodreview.com is infected with several backdoor malwares.
    I just downloaded the plugin, installed and ran a complete scan. It has brought up all the infected files.

    However, when i click on “automatically fix selected files now” it brings up another box that just keeps loading indefinitely, and that’s all.
    Below the box is written “if this is taking too long click here”. When I click, it brings up a long url address and tells me the address is temporarily down.

    The search took several hours, so I don’t want to start it afresh. Is there something i’m missing in order to automatically remove the threats ??

    The “temporarily down” message is from your server so you need to check the error_log files on your server to see what is going on there.

    I would start the scan again, it shouldn’t be taking hours to complete so keep an eye on it and see if there is some directory that it’s getting stuck in. Maybe your server is very slow, or maybe there is a cache folder with tons of files in it which you should always delete before running the scan.

    You can also click the fix button as soon as any threats are found so that they get fixed right away, you don’t need to wait for the scan to finish.
