Deinstalled WordPress

  • I accidentally deinstalled my WP website. Now I got an XML export and the files from my root as an backup, but nog MySQL backup. Is it possible to restore the entire website with these documents?

  • If the xml export was generated by WordPress, it should be possible to import it into a new WordPress install by going to Tools>Import in your admin sidebar menu. Hope that helps.

    No. Your uploads and themes folders will contain thoses things and the export will have whatever site content it contains, but your users and your settings for themes, plugins, menus, widgets and so on would have been in your database.
