How to give free access to course?

    Hi, I created a course, and want to give free access anyone who comes to the course page, by selecting “No payment required” in Course Access Plan.

    I even created a “free” membership, and added the course to “auto enroll to course” option.

    But, weather I want to enroll as a member or to the course, I get redirected to the payment checkout page (wich is empty).

    How can I achieve that I can direct visitors directly to the course, without any signup procedure? (thx in advance for the support)

    ok, what I found now, is that if I set all lessons free, members can access all the lessons from the course page.

    BUT in this workaround the member is not enrolled in the course, that means for example that the “mark complete” button will not work, plus I cannot use quizzes, since it will not work for free lessons…

    What must I do if I want:
    – to give people free access to courses
    – without to fill out data on the checkout page (these are people that have already access to my website and are already logged in)
    – while all the features like “mark lesson complete” and quizzes will work?

    To create a free course, you need a free access plan. It sounds like you don’t need to use the LifterLMS membership functionality.

    Part of enrolling in a course requires a user to create an account so they can log in and view the lessons. They need a user in order to take quizes, track progress, have data feed into reports, etc.

    Currently this account creation or login happens on the “one screen checkout.”

    If you would like to bypass the FREE course checkout screen, you could:

    – Set up users manually and add them to the course
    – Use the LifterLMS Voucher System

    Ok, than you for that workaround.

    I protect my content and sell access to my membership area with another tool that works very well for me, and would like to use LifterLMS for setting up lessons, course tracking and achievements.

    The perfect scenario for this use type (guess I am not the only one?) would be an option to enable courses for everybody who is logged in to my site. (and maybe even be the option to disable all payment settings, making the plugin even lighter).

    I understand your position and we do intend to improve this.

    Unfortunately I can’t snap my fingers and make new features appear, I have to write a lot of code. It takes time.
