cannot install new theme

  • Hello all,

    I just installed WordPress to my subdomain, and installed a theme. I wanted to install another one because I changed my mind, but not only is every theme giving me the same error

    Installation failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

    but even when I try to customize the current theme, it won’t let me. I did not install any widgets or plugins.

    What can I do? is it the subdomain itself that’s having the problem??

  • Please attempt to disable all plugins and then try to customize your current theme. If you are able to do it, then there is some plugin causing an issue. Enable then one by one to find the rogue one.

    If you are still unable to do so, contacting the theme author will be the next option. Same goes for installing the new theme.
