Hi, thanks to this wonderful plugin, I am making a satisfactory membership directory. I find another reason for using wordpress through using this plugin.

By the way, I set the some fields in the sign up form as required. I thought that the setting would put * or letter ‘required’ in the required fields. But in the sign up form, the members cannot recognize which fields are required until they click ‘sign up.’

Could you tell me how I can show certain fields are required? It would be nice if I could put * in the name of required fields.

    Thank you!!

Required fields are marked with an asterisk by default, so I don’t know why they are not showing up for you.

There are two things to check: first, use your browser developer tools inspector to see if the marker on the field title is actually there, but not visible for some reason. Your theme could have a CSS rule that is keeping the mark from being visible.

In the plugin settings under the general tab is “Required Field Marker” which defines the HTML for making a required field. You can make any changes you need to the HTML there.

Thank you very much for the reply and wonderful supports!! It was my fault. I have not noticed that I should check in the “Mark Required Fields.” Have a great day.
