Hello, I’ve just launched a new site https://www.tectumtiles.co.uk, an ecommerce site built with WooCommerce. Initialy I’ve installed Woocommerce’s Google Analytics Pro alongside the free version of Google Analytics by MonsterInsights.

In my google analytics however I am seeing what appears to be strange data… over 3 days it’s reported I have had:

196 Session & 195 Users but only 17 Page Views?

This can’t be right, surely every session has to consist of at least 1 page view?! Everyother website I have google analytics on the Page Views are always greater than the Sessions / Users which is logical.

I usually manually add GA code to my website head. It’s the first time I’ve used Google Analytics by MonsterInsights or Woocommerce’s Google Analytics Pro so I’m wondering if it’s something to do with my settings?

I have currently disabled Woocommerce’s Google Analytics Pro so only have Google Analytics by MonsterInsights activated whilst I try to get data that seems to make sense.

Can anyone offer any advice is to what issue I may be encountering here please.

    Thanks in advance. James

    Hi there,
That’s very bizarre. Can you contact us via monsterinsights.com/contact. We’re going to want to investigate what could be causing this

Hi Chris, thanks for the reply, apologies for the slow response… I’ve only just seen your reply!

I have sent a contact in via the contact form at monsterinsights.com/contact.

Since disabling Woocommerce’s Google Analytics Pro and only running Google Analytics by MonsterInsights my data over the weekend seems more appropriate although with it being a new website it is only low… hopefully there’ll be a little more traffic during the week to verify it etc.

I would still be glad of any thoughts you may have although it may seem that the issue is being caused more so by the Woocommerce’s Google Analytics Pro plugin, or at least from a combination of having both plugins activated at the same time?… I was under the impression this shouldn’t be a problem however and Woocommerce’s Google Analytics Pro ‘layers’ its functionality over the top of the functionality provided by Google Analytics by MonsterInsights.

    Regards James

    Hi there,
That shouldn’t be a problem, but I’ll take a look at the ticket you sent in (just saw it fly across) later today and we should be able to figure this out. Just so it’s less confusing, I’ll reply directly to the ticket you sent in
