Custom Fields – No meta fields option

    Hello, I saw a previous post (marked as solved so i thought best to create a new one) regarding custom fields. The answer was listed as below:

    Hello,

    For adding custom data, you can use the custom meta fields provided in WordPress.

    However, in the screen options of the car listings, it is not possible to show the “Custom Fields” or meta fields. I can do this in the standard posts, but i dont get the option in the car listings posts.

    Please could you expand more on how we can add custom fields to the car listings posts.

    Hey Benson,

    If you’re looking into customizing WP Car Manager via custom fields you probably want to add your own meta boxes to the car post type. In these meta boxes you can than add your own custom/post_meta fields in there. You can then display these custom post meta fields via one of our frontend actions.

    If nothing of the above makes any sense to you, that’s totally understandable because this is quite advance. If this is the case you are most likely best of finding a developer who can help you do these customizations. I don’t do any custom development work myself but you can post a job on a website like https://jobs.wordpress.net/
