Widgets/Screen options/Help in Admin dashboard are Frozen after 4.7.1 WP update

  • Hello guys,

    Hope you are all well, we have a major problem, yesterday we updated from WP 4.7 to WP 4.7.1 today we noticed that we CAN’T move any widget in Admin Dashboard and we CAN’T click “Screen Options” or “Help” everything is “Frozen” in Admin Dashboard.

    Can you guys help us out, what should / can do ?
    We have a live site, we need all the WP functionality working as expected, bugs free, this is quite a stepback for us.

    We reinstalled WP 4.7.1 after we noticed the problem but this solution is not working. (via Dashboard -> Updates -> If you need to re-install version 4.7.1–ro_RO, you can do so here)

    Update WordPress

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    Hello Steve,

    Thank you for the quick answer, are you suggesting that because of the update one or more plugins may have been outdated and they are causing problems ?

    Everything went fine in WP 4.7

    I’m saying that’s a reasonable assumption and an easy thing to test.

    Hi,

    Ok, i understand, but easy is not, we have a lot of visits if i disable the plugins i will affect my site, i will test it tomorrow somehow and i will get back here ??
