First of all create a page with name “Home” and assign the custom page template “Home” from
“Page attributes” meta box which is available left side of the editor.
Now Go to settings >> reading >> Front page displays.

After it assign front page as “Home” and Post page as “Blog”.

Hi there,
Thanks a lot for this post on the slider of Awada theme.Unfortunatelly I still can’t get the slider visible at the website. Is it correct that it should show in the header of the website after going through your described steps?
Do you have any tips on what I can check or what I should activate extra? Or maybe you see the problem when watching my page? I am at: https://einstein-empowerment.academy
Thanks in advance!

Hi webhunt infotech,
I completed all steps of your description without result. The first step gives me some problems:
First of all create a page with name “Home” and assign the custom page template “Home” from “Page attributes” meta box which is available left side of the editor.
You talk about the left side. But at the new page ′home′ I see an option for page attributes on the right – which is empty. Is this the same option as you mention on the left?
Do you maybe have a description or picture of the exact location? Thanks in advance
Hi,
Sorry for inconvenience.
First of all create a page with name “Home” and assign the custom page template “Home” from “Page attributes” meta box which is available right side of the editor.
Here you can see “Template” Drop-Down list inside “Page-Attributes”.
Now select “Home” page template.
And save the changes.
Now follow above solution.

Hi there,
Still not getting there. Made a blog post to show you pictures: https://einstein-empowerment.academy/?p=534&preview=true
My page attributes seems empty.
But next to the absence of the properties I have selected Home as a static page and my blog posts are connected to the page ‘laatste nieuws’ (latest news).
Also on the pages at dashboard and reading properties these two sites are mentioned as ‘voorpagina’ (front/homepage) and ‘berichtpagina’ (blogpage).
Is it necesarry it have these page attributes or are the required selections allready made in the other sections? Or should the slider be working with these properties in place?
I question at this moment if the slider is availeble for the free version of Awada?
Hi,
Here we are sending screen-shot links for better assistance. Please see and follow them to set home page.
Now set as front page.
Let us know if not work.
Yes, Awada free theme has slider.
Thank You
Thank webhuntsupport for the extra information.
The problem is in de the first example and the page attributes. My pages (also when I make a new one) show no page attributes. The option is totally empty.
– Is there a way to activate this part?
– Is it maybe due to export of pages from a other site with other theme that the error occured?Second picture, front page, is already set propperly.
Thanks in advance,
Hi,
Try to deactivate all the plugins.
Or clear the cache.
Thank You
That was the key answer! – deactivated all plugins and got the attributes back + slider online.
Superb, thanks a lot!
I guess I can activate the nessecary plugins one by one now?
We are happy that we can resoled your issue.
