    I’m the webmaster and developer for bullsandbeavers.com. The site was originally setup and is hosted by Network Solutions. After several SEO
    sessions, the site still fails to be picked up by any search engines.

    Here are some notes about the site setup.

    1. All of the files are located in a sub directory named “index”.

    2. Yes, I have the robots.txt file configure correctly.

    Any advice and or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • Im not an SEO person by any stretch, but your post intrigued me.

    Its a relatively new site, and googling you, I saw the attempts at advertising the site launch and the domain. I also saw that a search for your domain resulted in it not being the first result. Thats very abnormal, even for a 6 month old site.

    Your robots.txt is fine.

    you have this in your <head> though:

    <meta name='robots' content='noindex,nofollow' />

    “Several SEO sessions” should have picked that up.

    Google suggests looking at your site in Lynx if you are interested in knowing what googlebot sees. So I pulled up your site in Lynx.

    If youre interested in that, go here:

    https://www.rexswain.com/httpview.html. Most of the better lynx emu sites are done, but that will give you a good idea of what googlebot sees–or even go grab a copy of lynx itself.

    there’s no content for a full page scroll in lynx, and what content that is there is minimal.

    You have this in your <head> though:

    <meta name=’robots’ content=’noindex,nofollow’ />

    Check the Settings->Privacy setting. This meta bit will be added by WordPress if you have it set to be private on that page.

    I see you have fixed the meta tag.

    Another tip.

    I see you are using rel=nofollow on all your links. Headlines and all navigation. Some refer to this a pagerank sculpting, but what you have done is more like a pagerank scalping.

    You want engines to read your anchor text, especially when it uses text in which you desire to become relevant for.

    If you have not already, Get a Google Webmaster account. Verify site, and you will be able to see how the big G sees your site.

    Cheers
