• Hello,

I want to add a chatbot that I built on api.ai to a wordpress website, and I can’t find a plugin for that.

Can that be done using this chat?

I have this page where I can ask questions and get answers: [link redacted]

Can I use that, or do I have to use api.ai’s API?

    Thanks in advance,
    Milan

    Hello Milan,

I’m not familiar with api.ai, but Chat is not integrated with that service – so combining both would require huge amount of code rewriting in our Chat.
Experienced developer should be able to do that, but because this can’t be done with quick snipped code it’s beyond this support scope ??

    kind regards,
    Kasia

Leaving a reply for other API.AI chat bot programmers who may be interested in directly embedding their bot into WordPress.

I think there are a few ways of embedding API.AI chatbots into your website. I have successfully embedded them in two different places – one inside a page (and you can do it the same way for a post) and one inside a sidebar widget. After you publish your bot, on the Agent Page for your chat bot, you will see an embed link. You have to basically copy the src URL from that embed code and use it for the appropriate purpose.

I have written a how to article about it on my blog if you are interested:
