Pages in either Eng or Thai – how to?

Tourism site on WP 2.6.2 CMS – requires most pages in English, but several in Thai language. Don’t want translations, just want either / or! ?? Have installed th_TH.mo and th_TH.po in /wp-content/languages/ and tried (failed) to get qTranslate to recognise the new language. Can add it to the list ok, but as soon as I try to ‘enable’ it, get a message “No such Language”. Tried renaming files to th.mo and th.po respectively, same result. Tried adding a copy of them to /includes/languages/ but no luck.

Anyone done this successfully? Some advice would be appreciated.
