oops cant find that page problem

  • created a site and things worked fine for awhile. then I started getting the dreaded Ooops cant find that page problem. I have checked and rechecked the URL. I have saved the permalinks under settings several times. I have searched and tried everything but I cant find what went wrong. I installed the plugin broken link which says that this specific URL is a problem but I know for a fact that it is written correct.

    if I run the link as admin it works. but if I log out and try it, it doesn’t work. all the other links created the same way work. so i’m at a loss at the moment.

    made the change to plain, saved, refreshed and dumped browser cache. then the page is not found at all even if I am signed in as admin or signed out. the page wont load. there is a difference, this time it is not a wordpress Ooops, it is a 404 error.

    I switched back to post permalink and it is back as described in last post, works with admin otherwise doesn’t work.
