Do you have SSl enabled on the the front-end but not the admin, or vice versa?

No, SSL is not installed anywhere.

Usually, when I just replace all plugin files on server with the downloaded files, the issue is sorted out, but it starts coming again after some time.

I just clicked on your link and successfully downloaded 2 pdf files from your page. Seems to be working fine for me. Replacing the plugin files shouldn’t affect anything, as those don’t change.

Never mind. I will update this topic if the issue comes again. I am pretty sure, it will be in a day or two. I will request you to please keep this thread open. And thanks a ton for replying.

Well currently your shortcode is set to do direct download using the client (browser) so there is no chance of it hitting that “Do not pass go” error message, as the download is not making a trip to the server for processing. You might see the Do Not Pass Go message if you have encryption or stats enabled. But then the issue would be your WordPress security nonce is failing to verify, so it would be a problem with your credentials (or an SSL mismatch from front-end to admin). If you have a caching plugin installed, it might be caching outdated security nonces when it caches the download links. It could be a number of things, but it’s not normal behavior for File Away.

so do you think that if I disable caching on that page, it should work as intended?
