Themed Login & Registration

Hi,

I have been looking around for a solution for themed login and registration.

I found https://www.jameskelly.org/wordpress-plugins/custom-login-and-registration-forms-plugin/ but it is too outdated.

Then I found https://stilldesigning.com/2008/05/01/custom-login-page-for-wordpress/ and it seems like what I needed. However, I am unable to understand its instructions

“you can get the patch and sample login.php theme page from the Trac ticket. Just patch wp-login.php in your WordPress folder and drop the login.php file in your theme. “

How do I apply the patch? There are two files at trac, wp-login.php.diff and sample.login.php. I assume the second file is the login.php that I should place in my theme. How about wp-login.php.diff?

Any tips?
